Dr Yoko Clinch
BSc BVMS (Hons) MANZCVS (Radiology) CMAVA
Dr Clinch graduated with a University Medal from Murdoch University in 2004. She worked in a mixed practice in South Australia for 2 years before starting at Cottesloe Animal Hospital in 2007. As with Dr Neck, she is highly committed to continuing veterinary education. Thus far, she has completed membership examinations to the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Radiology, and is currently studying for membership to the Small Animal Medicine Chapter. In addition to this, she regularly attends continuing education events both in Perth, and at conferences interstate and overseas.
Yoko’s commitment to the veterinary profession also extends beyond the borders of our hospital; she has been a member of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) since 2005, the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association since 2007, and an AVA new graduate mentor since 2009. She has also been involved in teaching veterinary students at Murdoch University as a surgical demonstrator, and helped provide veterinary services to the WA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force Canine Division since 2008.
Yoko’s interests outside of work and study include playing jazz piano (you can often find her playing gigs with the Oz Big Band at various venues around Perth), travelling and kayaking.
She has a Cavalier/Poodle cross named Haida who is the ”face” of our newest Cottesloe Animal Hospital magnets, a feline potentate (Himesama) and a talking galah named Charlie.
